Young People Cornwall
provides affiliation for voluntary youth and sports clubs throughout
Cornwall. Our services include support for youth organisations around
issues such as governance, fundraising and training. We also offer
bespoke training packages, a dedicated insurance scheme for youth
projects and CRB checks. We are a Registered Body for the Criminal
Records Bureau and are able to assist clubs and projects with Criminal
Records disclosures on their volunteers and members of staff.
By affiliating to Young People
Cornwall your organisation / club can gain membership of the
United Kingdom’s largest non-uniformed Youth Organisations
enabling you to enjoy the benefits of networking, good practice
and enabling the young people you work with to access National
and International events.
From January 2008
all affiliate organisations will benefit from a reduced administration
charge of only £10 for CRB checks processed by us.
From 1st August
2008 YPC will have a dedicated worker who can provide support to youth
clubs across the county on a range of issues including fundraising,
governance and training.
Affiliation fees for 2008 will continue to be £40.00 per organisation which gives you the following benefits:
1. Membership of an independent County and UK wide youth
work lobby that can and does represent your views to government
and other agencies and sectors.
2. The benefits that come from being part of a voluntary
sector organisation that others wish to work with, e.g. Arts
Councils, Sports Councils and Health Authorities.
3. Access to a customisable range of other insurance – personal
accident, hazardous activities and enhanced public liability
at extremely advantageous rates, specially tailored to youth
work needs.
4. Advice on personnel matters and help with your fundraising
applications.
5. Advice and training on all youth work matters especially
in regard to Health & safety, Child Protection and Risk Assessment.
6. Free occasional publications, posters and other promotional
items.
7. Professional support and advice to staff and voluntary
committees of affiliated groups.
