The Fusion Project aims to develop a cross-ethnic understanding of racism, which works with whole communities on prevention, is inclusive, recognises diversity, and celebrates cultural differences whilst continuing to respond to incidents of racism and provide support to BME young people living in the county.

The project works with schools, youth centres and other agencies in order to improve cultural awareness, sensitivity and understanding and is Cornwall’s leading youth work project dealing with issues around racism and diversity.

The Horizons Project started in 1999, with a grant from the Rank Foundation, to work with young people in the China Clay Area of Cornwall. The project has continued to thrive in an area with no alternative youth provision.

Today Horizons offers outdoor activities, team-building & weekly youth clubs to young people living in Truro, Illogan, Penryn and The Clays. The project has recently secured its own youth centre in Roche which will be the first dedicated youth centre for young people in this area of Cornwall. Recent activities that the project has promoted include the 100 Mile Canoe Test and residential trips to Scotland.

Hear Our Voice offers young people in Cornwall the opportunity, within a supportive group or one-to-one environment, to explore issues related to their mental health.

We enable young people to take action, gain control and get heard.

So what do young people say about Hear Our Voice?

“Brings out our creative side”

“Gives us time and space”

“It gives you more self confidence”

“Makes you think more and explore your emotions”

“You get to know other young people”

“The staff are friendly & supportive, I have learned a lot”

Zebs is a Youth Project where young people can go to get friendly advice and support, play music, do art and photography, use computers, play pool or simply just hang out with friends.
